Hey ,
I have a tough but an interesting question for you. Think about
it!
❓What is that one thing or a service you purchase and use only for it's aesthetics, but not much for it's functionality?
For me, it's the Apple's Magic Mouse🖱️. I know a lot of people actually love the product but I'll be honest, I have always had mixed feelings about the usability factor.
What I like about it:
- The magic mouse gestures offer a great experience once you learn them all.
- It's small and compact, and easy to carry around.
- Visually, IT LOOKS CUTE!!
What I dislike about it:
- Since the mouse structure is pretty flat, I find the grip to be really poor especially when I use it for designing.
- I miss the controlled zooming experience in my workflow.
- I don't like that the charging port is beneath the mouse making it impossible to use it while charging.
But it's not too bad once you get habituated to the gestures. Magic Mouse is the only mouse I use everyday. I have not
been able to replace it with a chunky, ultra-functional Logitech Mouse that everyone recommends. Ask me why? Because the Magic Mouse looks "aesthetic" and makes my work set up look minimal and neat just the way I like it.
Bottom line, I forgive the minor usability problems for it's pretty design.
